Green-fingered people of Tamahere and Matangi will have their garden creations admired in a fundraiser for Age Concern Hamilton next month.
Ten gardens in Tamahere and Matangi – ever popular in the garden viewing season – will be open from 9.30am to 4pm on Sunday, November 13.
Billed as quirky to stately, the gardens will include rose gardens, a natural water lily pond, and short gully and native plant walks.
Also on the self-drive, adults-only ramble will be pottager areas, up-cycled garden art, carriage rides, a visit to Tamahere’s Inspirit Art Gallery, and plants and decorated pots for sale.
Morning tea or lunch will be available at Cherry Blossom Cafe, at Tamahere Eventide, while at another venue there will be a coffee cart.
Tickets at $25 each are on sale at iTicket.co.nz, Hamilton i-site, and the Gallagher Performing Arts Centre.
A map of the ramble will be available at the first garden or by contacting Age Concern Hamilton here.
