Free business advice meetings are in hot demand in Raglan.
Raglan business growth appointments continue to swell with the June service fully booked by local businesses in the first six days.
The free service is a successful collaboration between Waikato District Council’s economic development team, Open Waikato, and Waikato Innovation Park. The free hour appointments were originally arranged between 9am and 12pm, however the high demand for the service has seen an extension of the service being offered from 9am to 4pm.
“The uptake for the service in Raglan has been phenomenal from the first day,” says Economic Development Manager, Clive Morgan. “The opportunity to meet with a business growth expert and get advice tailored to each businesses challenges is obviously too good to pass up.”
The free 1 hour sessions offer local businesses the opportunity to meet with a business growth advisor to discuss their growth aspirations and to get advice about the tools they need to get there.
“The special thing about this service is that it’s tailored to each business’ challenges specifically, so you’re not getting standard advice, you’re getting a real helping hand moving forward,” says Morgan.
The service, part of the Waikato-wide innovation network is also available in Tuakau and Huntly on the second Tuesday of every month. The service offers start-ups and existing businesses advice on ways to seize growth opportunities, including exporting, and funding for research and development, and how to deal with technical roadblocks. Two appointments are still available for Tuakau and Huntly on 13 June 2017.
Businesses that have high-growth aspirations, export focus, innovative products or services, or those are technology driven are encouraged to book in for the free service. To book, email firstname.lastname@example.org, visit www.openwaikato.co.nz/advice for further information or phone 0800 252 626.
